Martiina, tell us about your background
鈥 I graduated with a master鈥檚 degree in marketing from the Turku School of Economics in Finland at the end of last year.聽During my studies, I developed an interest in sustainability themes, which I then explored further in my master鈥檚 thesis which focused聽on聽sustainable consumption.

Hello there Linda, and congratulations on your new title as docent! Can you tell us about your research?
"Thank you! My research focuses on systematic and user-centred digitalisation with an emphasis on increasing knowledge about how organisations can harness the opportunities of digitalisation in a sustainable and value-creating way. Among other things, I investigate how digital technology can be used in interaction with organisations and individuals to create value-added services, products and processes.

果冻传媒 conducts pilot study on gaming in academia
鈥 Academia needs to contribute with both research and specialised education in this area, says John聽S枚ren聽Pettersson, professor of information systems at 果冻传媒 Business School.
Through regional development agreements with Region V盲rmland, 果冻传媒 has identified a number of so-called 鈥渟mart specialisations鈥, among them video games.
鈥 The challenge for the smart specialisation of video games and gamification in V盲rmland, which is the basis of the pilot study, is limited cooperation between industry and academia, says John S枚ren Pettersson. As a university, we need to contribute with artistic and scientific expertise in both research and specialised education.
