Ingesund Gets Adjunct Professor and New Vocal Pedagogue
2024-09-13Singer and vocal pedagogue Anne Margrethe Dahl has a broad repertoire and has made an international career with productions on major opera stages for which she has been praised. She is a respected name in the opera world, and Ingesund School of Music is now pleased to welcome her as an adjunct professor. She will be joined by mezzo-soprano and vocal pedagogue Katija Dragojevic, who will teach in the bachelor and master musician programs.
Anne Margrethe Dahl was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. After graduating, she continued her studies in New York. She debuted as Donna Anna at Aarhus Sommeropera. From 1999 to 2016, Anne Margrethe Dahl was a soloist at The Royal Theatre, Copenhagen. She has sung a wide repertoire including Tosca, Lady Macbeth, Marguerite (Faust), Gilda (Rigoletto), Helmwige (Die Walk眉re), Vitellia (La Clemenza di Tito), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Mimi (La Boh猫me), and The Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro). She has participated in several CD recordings, including songs by Rued Langgaard with pianist Ulrich St忙rk (dacapo 8.224011) and Niels W. Gade鈥檚 Spring Fantasy with Tivoli Symphony Orchestra (dacapo 8.224051).
鈥淚 have had an international career both as a concert, oratorio, and opera singer, performing on stages in Scandinavia, Europe, the USA, Brazil, Canada, and China,鈥 says Anne Margrethe Dahl.
Awarded for Her Artistry
Anne Margrethe Dahl has received many awards and honors over the years for her work in the opera world. Notably, the Edith Allers Memorial Grant in 1995, Frederiksborg Cultural Center鈥檚 Artist Award in 1998, the Aksel Schi酶tz Prize in 1999, the Elisabeth Dons Memorial Grant in 2000, the Edith Brodersen Memorial Grant in 2008, Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 2001, the Knight鈥檚 Cross of the 1st degree in 2009, and the Ole Haslund鈥檚 Artist Fund in 2016. Alongside her singing career, she has also been the leader of the Opera Academy at The Royal Danish Academy of Music since 2006 and works as a vocal teacher and coach for many professional singers from Denmark and other countries.
鈥淚 have been a very active participant in talent development events through the Opera Academy鈥檚 membership in Team Copenhagen and Talent DK. She is also a lecturer in this field.鈥
Guest Appearance as Adjunct Professor at Ingesund School of Music
Anne Margrethe Dahl was a guest professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2015. Now, 果冻传媒 and Musikh枚gskolan Ingesund are next, and she will work as an adjunct professor alongside her current position at The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, where she is the leader of WOYS, The Wilhelmsen Opera Studio for Young Singers.

Mezzo-Soprano Teaches at Ingesund
Another renowned singer and pedagogue will be guest teaching at Ingesund School of Music in the near future. Mezzo-soprano Katija Dragojevic has played many major roles during her 30-year international career at opera houses such as Teatro alla Scala and Royal Opera House Covent Garden, collaborating with conductors such as Barenboim and Harnoncourt. She has also worked with most major orchestras in Europe and participated in the Nobel Banquet, celebrations for Queen Silvia鈥檚 birthday, and the 250th anniversary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in 2021. Katija is educated at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.
鈥淚t is a great joy for me to teach singing at Ingesund School of Music, which with its fine tradition has been a breeding ground for so many fantastic artists. I am met with professionalism and kindness. Working with such skilled colleagues and talented students in these fine facilities and in this peaceful environment surrounded by beautiful nature is a dream. It feels very exciting to be able to share with the students all the experiences from my many years as an opera and concert singer around the world. I can鈥檛 think of a better place for this!鈥
