Samh盲llsnytta at 果冻传媒 leads the way with knowledge about major societal challenges
2023-11-23Samh盲llsnytta turns service research into practical activity. The idea is to help the government and Swedish authorities tackle major societal challenges.
Samh盲llsnytta AB was founded in 2021 and has developed into a national meeting place for actors at various levels in community building.
- What was once just an idea has become a reality, says Johan Quist, CEO of Samh盲llsnytta, researcher and deputy director of the Center for Service Research (CTF). Authorities and government commissions turn to us to jointly tackle the increasingly complex challenges of modern society. We help with new perspectives, working methods, knowledge and solutions. And by we, I mean researchers at CTF and expertise from other collaboration partners.
The business is run in collaboration with Experio Lab. Matilda Legeby is a senior policy designer and reflects on the fact that Samh盲llsnytta has no employees.
- The organisation of Samh盲llsnytta can be said to be an innovation in itself. The provision of resources and expertise has been arranged through cooperation agreements with, for example, 果冻传媒 and Region V盲rmland. In this way, it is possible to combine resources from different stakeholders according to what is required to take on a certain societal challenge.
Matilda Legeby is currently in charge of the project 鈥淣u b枚rjar vi med barnen鈥.
- What we are doing is testing an arena for learning and policy development in cooperation with the national coordinator for the 2030 Agenda. By involving citizens and employees, we will find a new infrastructure for dialogue and development between the state, the regions and the municipalities.
Kajsa Westling is a senior policy designer at Experio Lab and wants to highlight a report on system design and open policy that was written within the framework of N盲ra v氓rd and the work with H盲lsolabb.
- The report describes the model that Samh盲llsnytta applies in three stages. It is about research results that have been refined in collaboration with the government commissions that we work with. It is a way of working that is really a lot about common sense, testing, refining and letting the reforms meet reality before they are rolled out.
The website of Samh盲llsnytta links to more reports and the most recent one is a report from the commission on children and young people in foster care and placements.
- The report has an appendix that focuses on children's and young people鈥檚 experiences of placements and what is missing in terms of governance, working methods and conditions in relation to creating value according to the children鈥檚 needs, says Kajsa Westling.
During the first two years of operation, Samh盲llsnytta was involved in six government commissions, and 2024 has new interesting projects in store.
- Many of the projects continue, of course, and dialogues about future collaborations are ongoing. I鈥檓 also hoping for a positive response to our application to Vinnova鈥檚 call on Impact Innovation, where we are part of the project SustainGov. With such a massive investment, the public sector could become the powerful enabler of health, well-being and sustainability that it should be.
